Our curriculum typically includes 10-12 (50-60 minute) sessions which is based in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) which is a comprehensive, active-directive type of psychotherapy that focuses on resolving emotional and behavioral problems and disturbances in order to enable couples to lead happier more fulfilling shared lives. In an REBT focused Couple's Counseling program, negative false beliefs that interfere with a clear perception of one's partner are targeted for change. Additionally, all or nothing thinking, overgeneralizations, and other common unhealthy thinking patterns that lead to poor communication, anger, resentment, and frustration are identified, worked through, and eliminated. Pathways for learning effective communication, negotiation, and problem solving skills are then created in order to improve satisfaction and stability in the relationship.  While there rarely exists a true fairy tale romance that lasts past the "honeymoon phase", we have the ability to help couples heal as well as develop practical daily strategies they need in order to achieve their happily-ever-after's.

Our couple's counseling services are extended to all types of couples including those that are married, unmarried, engaged, in a domestic partnership, living in a long distance relationship, of same sex, biracial, transgendered, blended (having a child/children from previous marriages/relationships) and many more.
